We generally recommend using 5W-40 for BMW N57 diesel engines; the oil offered here has a very good price/performance ratio.

We recommend changing every 10,000km or once a year

Why LL-04 approval?

Many 5W-40 oils do not have LL-04 approval and are therefore not suitable for vehicles with DPF. Oils without LL-04 approval can cause soot and ash to build up more quickly in the DPF. In addition, oils with LL-04 approval are tested more strictly than those with LL-01 or less demanding approvals.

The oil quantity for the BMW N57 is 6.5l or 7.2l.
