The weak point of the BMW N57 engine: the swirl flaps!

Why? The swirl flaps are located in the intake tract and are prone to breakage. If one falls into the combustion chamber, it can cause severe engine damage—without warning, even at low mileage.

The solution: Remove it!

The shift linkage in the intake manifold is removed, which frees the swirl flaps and allows them to be removed. The resulting hole in the intake manifold is sealed with our blanking plug. This solution ensures that no errors are stored in the onboard computer.

Scope of delivery:

• 1* Blind plug (for the hole in the ASB after removing the rod)
• 6* Gaskets (for intake manifold)
